In NC, from Chapel Hill to Burlington, which is less congested during rush hour: I-40 or US 54?
My husband and I are moving to chapel hill, NC. I work in Raleigh but he works in Graham (near Burlington). US 54 seems like more of a straightshot, but we were wondering which seems to move more quickly during peak times.

I think you mean NC 54, not US 54. NC 54, between Chapel Hill/Carrboro and Graham/Burlington, is mostly a 2-lane country road. I-40 is several lanes each direction. Not much commuting goes on between Graham/Burlington and Chapel Hill....and the little that occurs is mostly people who live in Burlington who work in Chapel Hill. So your husband will actually be going the opposite of most of the traffic.
