Employment Question- Raleigh, NC?
Live and work in Raleigh, NC. Currently I'm a Compliance Analyst/Auditor for a large company headquartered here. I am 25 and I have degrees in Finance and Economics with a 3.6 GPA and average to good computer skills, learning mostly on the job but mostly my expertise is with building databases and building code for queries in auditing software. Any ideas on who might be hiring around here for (junior) financial analysts, operations, anything but this mundane area in accounting...or what a good step to gain acess to these positions would be?

Well, this is the state capital, so try State Government, they're always hiring it seems. Departments of: Insurance, Revenue, State Auditor, Budget & Management, State Controller, Commerce, and probably many others, would likely have jobs in that field. Granted, state government usually doesn't pay as much as the private sector. But job security is much better, you get more paid holidays, health insurance is free (unless you have dependents), and there's a pretty solid pension plan. (And if you start young, you can retire young.) It's definitely worth a look.
