What type of volunteer work could an American do (preferably sponsored work) in the UK?
I'm graduating from college next year and I am looking at programs such as Teach for America, Peace Corps, World Teach and Fulbright english teaching assistantships. I looked into Raleigh International, but would prefer to not have to pay.

Do any of those programs even work in the UK? I know Peace Corps does not. The country isn't exactly the developing world and most developmental organizations aim for those. Perhaps you could contact some universities in the country and ask them. They might have some good ideas.

There are NO sponsored volunteering activities in the UK for Americans. The UK has plenty of its OWN local volunteers! PeaceCorps does not place volunteers in the UK.
