About what would be some good bars to work in as a cocktail waitress in Raleigh/Durham NC

what would be some good bars to work in as a cocktail waitress in Raleigh/Durham NC?
i'm a female college student and looking for a part time job during the school year and holidays, too. I've been thinking about cocktail waitressing for a while now, and since I'm not familiar with the area that well, i was wondering if anyone knows of any good bars or nightclubs that are safer to work in and where I could make good money. Thanks for the suggestions

About What can you tell me about Raleigh, North Carolina

What can you tell me about Raleigh, North Carolina?
We are thinking about relocating to Raleigh from Austin, Texas for work. We have never been to North Carolina and wanted to know the best areas to raise a family. The area of business is located in 27609. We have a 6 year old daughter and a 2 year old son. How is the cutler, education system and violence rate? We are a younger couple (25-35) and wanting some of the same feel of Austin but placed in Raleigh. How is the city and what environment does Raleigh give? All information or links would be grateful.

Raleigh's a fine place and I think you'll do fine here. Locationwise, the closer you are to downtown the better. Raleigh's sort of the opposite of most cities....the traffic is actually worst on the fringes while it's better near the city core. No matter where your job is, if you start close to downtown, your commute will be better. Also, the neighborhoods are nicer whereas in the suburbs, neighborhoods were built fast and cheap using inferior methods & materials. Schools in the heart of Raleigh are also much better than most of the suburbs. If you can live inside the I-440 loop (called "Inside the Beltline") you'll be better off.

You are making a great decision. Although Austin is doing better economically, Raleigh still has lots of jobs, family friendly neighborhoods, great school systems, and lots of shopping. Both Austin & Raleigh are the state capitals and have lots of great qualities. Raleigh is closer to the Atlantic Ocean. Many people here go to the beaches on North Carolina's coast as well as the Myrtle Beach area. Crime is relatively low here compared to most cities. Coming from Washington, DC, I notice that Raleigh is significantly safer than the DC area. Rob1977nc is right about Central Raleigh. The best place to work is downtown and traffic isn't really that bad inside the beltline. Most commuters travel towards RTP and Durham for work. I personally would pick the suburbs like Cary, Garner, Apex, or Holly Springs. You could also live east of Raleigh in Knightdale or Wendell for a less crowded suburban area.
