How to get around without a car?
I live about 25-30 minutes driving time from my work in downtown Raleigh.. My car isn't really working and my parents schedule doesn't exactly mesh with mine for their car.. Any ideas how I can get around? besides walking...because that would take me hours that I dont have.

Take a bus or find a carpool with someone who lives near you. I know that a lot of work groups have car pool vans. Also called "Park and Rides". That or you could hitch hike, but I recommend you don't do that because there are a lot of creeps out there.

well raleigh doesn't really have much public transit....has some but not much.... so bike /buy a working car.....fix the car u have.....buy a moped.....rent a car...... taxis......etc...

You need to rent a room near your job. Always get a good job first, THEN move to the cheapest room you can get close to your job and city transportation.
